Our Process

EGT Solar's 5-step Process to Energy Independence

SmartSolar Evaluation

SmartSolar Evaluation - An EGT Solar representative will spend roughly an hour educating you on system options and evaluating your electrical system to ensure no additional electrical work needs completion to keep the installation up to local jurisdiction code. A representative will also gather power bill information necessary to accurately design your system….EGT Solar will not provide a price quote or put a contract in front of you on this visit as we want our clients to work through options and make a highly educated decision without high-pressure sales tactics common in the solar industry!

Design

Advanced System Design - EGT Solar's dedicated design/engineering staff will carefully design the optimal system solution for each individual client’s needs through our accredited third-party solar design program to ensure accuracy and proper system sizing. Once completed your EGT Solar representative will then deliver the proposal for review and discuss moving forward.

Permitting and Net Meter Preparation - once a client opts to move forward toward energy independence EGT Solar handles all local jurisdiction permitting and net meter process paperwork. This process varies by each individual jurisdiction but typically will be completed within 1-2 weeks.

Installation

Installation - EGT Solar's licensed install team will install your system per the designed layout and ensure they leave the property just as they found it. They will also test the system to ensure functionality for the inspection process.

Inspection

Final Inspections - Your system will now be inspected by your local jurisdiction first and then by Idaho Power at which point they will also install the "Net Meter" and turn the system on for power production.
